Instant Pot Steel Cut Oatmeal


Quick, easy, nutty, delicious oatmeal. A family favorite on Sunday mornings before church.

Ingredients

2 c steel cut oats

6 c water

large pinch of salt

1/4 c butter

3/4 c maple syrup

Directions

  1. Place, oats, water, & salt in instant pot (or similar pressure cooker).

  2. Cook for 10 minutes of high pressure.

  3. Do a natural release.

    (DO NOT attempt a quick release! You will have a hot mess of frothy, sticky, liquid!)

  4. Once the float valve is down, open the instant pot and gently stir the oatmeal.

  5. Gently stir in butter & maple syrup.

  6. Top with optional fruit, nuts, cream or other desired toppings.
