Instant Pot Old Fashioned Oatmeal


Perfect for Sunday mornings before church!

Ingredients

3 c steel cut oats

6 c water

large pinch of salt

1/2 c milk

3/4 c maple syrup

Directions

  1. Place, oats, water, & salt in instant pot (or similar pressure cooker).

  2. Cook for 2 minutes on high pressure.

  3. Do a natural release.

    (DO NOT attempt a quick release! You will have a hot mess of frothy, sticky, liquid!)

  4. Once the float valve is down, open the instant pot and gently stir in milk & maple syrup.

  5. Top with optional fruit, nuts, and cream or other desired toppings.
